  1. We have learned about few major ancient civilizations such as India and Mesopotamia cultures. We compared and contrasted two civilizations with diffences and commons between them.

The major topic of it was the influence that environment gave to each civilizations.
Not only these two civilizations, but also Korea prospered with big river called HAN river. Just like Tigris river or Indus river, HAN river gave many economic benefits through out thousands of years.

  2. Jon Park, how does this connect to you, to your life?

  3. Adrienne Anderson Says:

We have learned about the black plague and about how different epidemics lead to low populations and so on. At a summer camp I went to this past year, we learned about pandemics like smallpox, chicken pox and influenza. We saw pictures of the victims, eared about medicines used for treatment, and about the medical technology used in the corresponding periods.

  4. Meg Bunke Says:

In class, we talked about how China was the ultimate prize for goods; countries in Europe, Asia, and later the U.S. fought one another for access to trade with China. To this day, the cheapest labor is in China, so the majority of goods that we use every day come from China. Most clothes, toys, technology, and other items say “Made in China” on them. Other places in the East, like India and Indonesia, are also popular areas for cheap labor. Since the U.S. is importing most of its goods from the East, it is piling up a huge debt, which is one of the major problems that the U.S. government has to deal with today. China’s and India’s economic successes, along with their huge populations, is leading to the shift in world power away from the U.S. and Europe.
