I’m (Bill) Weiran Liu. I’m from Shenzhen,China. There are a lot stuff I can tell you about Shenzhen, the city I live now. Shenzhen was a poor little harbour city just like 20 years ago. But after Chairman Deng’s economic revolution in 1978, Shenzhen started to develope rapidly. Because Shenzhen’s a harbour city and it’s close to Hong Kong. Which is the economic and transportaion center in the far-east. My hobbies are listening to music, watching movies and so on. My favourite subject in school is History.

My name is Adrienne Anderson and I am from Worcester, Massachusetts. The first interesting thing I could tell you about my city is that the smiley face was created here. I can also tell you that in 1850, the first womens’ rights convention was held.My hobbies include sewing, making costumes for the school plays, drawing, listening to music and spending time with my family and friends. My favorite subject in school is either geometry or chemistry. I also like learning about medicine and health, since I would like to pursue medicine in the future.

My name is Meg Bunke and I was born and have grown up in Worcester. One unique thing I know about my hometown is that the Abby Kelley Foster house was a safe house for escaping slaves on the Underground Railroad. Also, Elm Park in Worcester was the first public park in the country. For the last couple years, my favorite subject in school has been English because I love to read. I play soccer and tennis, and I enjoy going skiing in the winter.

I think it’s interesting that three of the four of us: Adrienne, Bill, and I are all in the same advisory.
So, Bill, what kind of music do you like to listen to? Just out of curiosity, do you like Worcester Academy, and was it a rough transition coming to the U.S.?
Adrienne, I’m friends with the niece of Harvey Ball, the man you mentioned who created the smiley face. Are you working on costumes for “Museum” this weekend?
Jon, did your brother choose to serve in the army or was there some kind of draft? What do you plan on doing when you leave Worcester Academy?

I agree with Meg. And yes Meg, I did work on costumes for Museum. I had a really great time and it is my 3rd time costuming for the upper school play. What do all of you do after school? Meg plays soccer in the fall, do any of you play sports or have activities after school in other seasons?

I went to see Museum this afternoon, and I was really impressed! The set looked completely different, and I loved the costumes, Adrienne. I think my favorite was Jenna Stelmok’s. Which ones did you design or assemble?

Thanks Meg! I also really liked Jenna’s costume. I designed Jay Ricciardi’s costume as Bob Lamb, I set Julia Zhao’s hairstyle, and applied makeup to sevral of the other characters. I also worked behind the curtain helping actors with “quick changes” in between roles.
